Organising and liaising with external providers of sporting events. Negotiating with SLT for resource to attend. Continuing to upskill teachers with exposure to Sportacus coaching, particularly for Outdoor Adventurous Activities across more year groups.
Fit From the Start - EYFS
Nursery children joining in with an group exercise activity during a Sportacus coaching session. This is a precursory exercise to Outdoor Adventurous Activities they will complete in the KS1 and KS2 curriculum.
Arms of Zeus - KS1
Year 1 are developing athletics skills ahead of their Sports Day competition at the end of term. Javelin throwing is one of a variety of throwing events practised throughout the school.
Launching Legends - LKS2a
Year 4 - javelin with greater distance, more practised technique, own exploration, self-recording, evaluation and improvement via a Review & Reflect lesson.
Wheelie Good Work - UKS2
Year 5 at the Royal Arsenal campus receiving Bikeability Cycle Confident instruction, working at different levels towards proficiency. Here in the playground; later in the week out on safe local streets.
