We are looking for friendly and enthusiastic individuals to join our team at Heronsgate Primary School.
You will support the provision of outstanding learning across our school and be passionate about providing rich learning experiences for all children.
You may be placed at either of our two sites in Thamesmead and Woolwich.
We are looking for people who will:
Be enthusiastic and have high expectations for all children
Provide targeted support to pupils with additional needs
Give general assistance to teaching staff both in the classroom and around the school
Support pupils to play together and enjoy their lunchtimes
Motivate and support pupils with their learning
Be able to work with pupils aged between 3 years and 11 years of age

Midday Meals Supervisors (fixed-term)
5 days per week (10 hours) term time only
Scale 1 Spine Point 3 £6,908*

We are looking for friendly and enthusiastic individuals to join our team at Heronsgate Primary School.
These are fixed-term positions for two terms (ending August 2026).
You will be responsible to the Headteacher for securing the safety, welfare and good conduct of pupils in the premises of the school during the midday break.
You may be placed at either of our two sites in Thamesmead and Woolwich.
To be successful you should have:
Proven experience of supervising children in a paid or unpaid capacity
Experience of supporting pupils with additional needs
Understanding of the importance of the school meal / packed lunch and the midday break as a social and educational occasion
Understanding of the importance of safeguarding and children’s wellbeing
An ability to work as a member of a team
The ability to relate to pupils and to deal with them patiently and firmly using positive strategies
