Year 2 Greenwich Heritage Centre Trip

On Thursday 3rd December, Year 2 went on a trip to the Greenwich Heritage Centre to learn about the impact of Henry VIII on Woolwich. They learnt that he built the dockyards and began the navy and also learnt about the types of houses there were in Woolwich and the different types of shops on Powis Street. Children got to dress up in different costumes and act out being butchers, bakers and families. Finally they searched the Woolwich exhibition for Royal Portraits and created postcards about our favourite parts of Woolwich.
