Friday 27th March – Day 5

Watch this video on shapes

Can you go on a shape hunt around the house? Take photos or draw pictures of the shapes you find! How many triangles, squares, circles, rectangles can you find?

Nursery: Can you find items around your home that start with the ‘a’ sound?

Reception only: Use your phonics pack to practice saying the sound and writing the letters p, i, n. Can you write some words with these sounds?

Thursday 25th March – Day 4

Watch the Phase 2 phonics songs.

Count different items around the house and write down how many there are. Eg. How many cushions, plates, socks, toothbrushes etc.

Nursery: Can you find items around your home that start with the ‘s’ sound?

Reception only: Use your phonics pack to practice saying the sound and writing the letters s,a,t. Can you write some words with these sounds?

Days 1-3

Our topic is ‘Crazy about creatures’ so we would like you to design your own crazy creature! You could draw, make, build your creature.

Can you add write some labels or tell an adult:

  • What colour is your creature?
  • How many arms, legs, eyes does it have?
  • Where does it live?
  • What does it eat?

You might want to make a creature out of playdough. Here is a video with a simple recipe to make your own!
