On Friday 18th March 2016, children and staff took part in a fun run to raise money for Save the Children and British Heart Foundation. Two of our teachers are running the London Marathon in April for these charities, so the challenge for the day was to run 1km around the field.
During the day:
- 540 children ran 1km
- 30 staff ran 1km
- Reception children, between them, ran 60km
- One teacher ran with every single class and so ran 21km!
So in total, the school ran 641km! That would be the same as running from London to Leeds and back, or running half of the entire length of the U.K. (John O’Groats to Birmingham). Well done everyone!
