At the end of September, we held our Journee De La Francophonie (French Speaking Day).
All classes learnt about a French speaking country and came dressed in that country’s national colours.
Later, children had the chance to go to the outdoor classroom to play Petanque, a French game usually played on gravel and then on to our French Café in the Common Room. Gallic snacks such as croissants, brioche, baguette, fromage and jus d’orange were on offer, as long as the children asked for them in French!
Thanks to all the mums and dads who came in to help children speak French and to help out in the café. Thanks also to Mademoiselle Turner for working hard to arrange such an enjoyable day!
