Earlier this term, the children at Heronsgate enjoyed a fun-packed Maths Week.
During Maths Week, there were many different activities to enjoy, providing an opportunity to develop problem solving skills.
The week started with a fantastic workshop, which challenged the children to quickly solve a series of puzzles. Everyone enjoyed their time solving the puzzles:
“My favourite game at the maths workshop was tangrams because we got to make things and because it is difficult. I like difficult things because people keep on smashing them!” – Farhan, Year 2.
“I liked the Tower of Hanoi because it was challenging.” – Elizabeth, Year 6.
The week then continued, with children making their own board games, solving a series of problems in groups and enjoying a “Problem Solving Trail” around the school.
Well done everyone, a fantastic week of Maths learning!
