Apple Regional Training Centres deliver courses to build the skills and confidence of educators to use Apple technology inside and outside the classroom. They are a community who share best practices and inspire excellence through teaching with Apple technology.
Being selected as an Apple Regional Training Centre highlights our commitment to facilitating training for teachers to develop skills and build confidence to use Apple technology in the classroom.
Apple Regional Training Centres create a community to share best practice and support teaching staff to attain Apple Teacher status, a professional learning programme designed to support and celebrate educators.
Teachers from across the region can attend courses to build their knowledge and skills using technology in the classroom and earn badges to achieve their Apple Teacher recognition.
Across the UK and Ireland, the goals of all Apple Regional Training Centres are to:
- facilitate training opportunities for teachers to develop skills using Apple technology in the classroom
- promote Apple in Education and share new products and innovations with educators
- build Apple Teacher across the region
- share best practices, build community and inspire excellence.

Enhancing Productivity with iPad
Wednesday 18th October 2017, 9am-12pm
Learn how iPad can help students’ learning go deeper through getting organised, planning and sharing their work and documenting and reflecting. In this half-day session, develop the skills needed to deliver powerful learning experiences with iPad in the classroom.
Mastering Maths with iPad
Tuesday 28th November 2017, 4pm-5pm
Join us for this twilight session where we will look at ways to help your children deepen conceptual understanding and procedural fluency in maths using iPad. Discover a variety of apps and approaches can help your students ‘master’ mathematics.
Inspiring Writing with iPad
Tuesday 23rd January 2018, 4pm-5pm
The best writing happens when student are engaged and interested in the topic. This twilight will look at a range of apps and approaches using iPad, including effectively using iMovie and Apple Clips, to help take your learners’ writing to the next level!
Learning with iPad
Wednesday 21st February 2018, 9am-4pm
Join us for a day discovering the extraordinary everyday learning potential of iPad. With a range of speakers and workshops, we will look at how iPad can be used to engage and motive learners across the whole school curriculum.
Deploying and Managing iPad
Wednesday 28th March 2018, 9am-12pm
Be equipped to make best use of the range of tools available for deploying and managing iPad in Education. During the half-day session we will look at setting up devices, users and content with Apple School Manager, making use of MDM and managing iPads in the classroom.
Coding with Swift Playgrounds
Tuesday 15th May 2018, 4pm-5pm
This twilight session will look at how using iPad can help students develop the essential learning skills of problem solving and computational thinking through coding. Experience the revolutionary Swift Playgrounds app that gives everyone the opportunity to learn how to code.
Fostering Creativity with iPad
Wednesday 20th June 2018, 9am-12pm
Explore how iPad can support learners with the three phases of the creative process – brainstorming, gathering inspirational resources and telling compelling stories. This half day session will equip you to deliver powerful learning experiences with iPads in the classroom.
