Apple Regional Training Centres deliver courses to build the skills and confidence of educators to use Apple technology inside and outside the classroom. They are a community who share best practices and inspire excellence through teaching with Apple technology.
Being selected as an Apple Regional Training Centre highlights our commitment to facilitating training for teachers to develop skills and build confidence to use Apple technology in the classroom.
Apple Regional Training Centres create a community to share best practice and support teaching staff to attain Apple Teacher status, a professional learning programme designed to support and celebrate educators.
Teachers from across the region can attend courses to build their knowledge and skills using technology in the classroom and earn badges to achieve their Apple Teacher recognition.
Across the UK and Ireland, the goals of all Apple Regional Training Centres are to:
- facilitate training opportunities for teachers to develop skills using Apple technology in the classroom
- promote Apple in Education and share new products and innovations with educators
- build Apple Teacher across the region
- share best practices, build community and inspire excellence.

Getting started with iPad
Tuesday 18th September 2018, 4pm–5:15pm
Find out how iPad can open up new, engaging ways of teaching and learning. During this twilight session, you’ll learn how to get started with iPad, work with iPad, explore learning resources and then earn your first Apple Teacher badge. We will go over the basics for beginners but there will be plenty of top tips for the more experienced too.
Authoring amazing documents with iPad
Tuesday 16th October 2018, 4pm–5:15pm
Learn how to create engaging, organised and expressive documents in your classroom using the powerful word-processor that is Pages. In this twilight session you will get familiar with the latest elements and features of Pages and pick up the essential skills needed to author your own amazing documents. You will then earn your next Apple Teacher badge.
Presenting like a pro with iPad
Tuesday 20th November 2018, 4pm–5:15pm
Discover how easy it is for you and your students to create and deliver beautiful presentations using Keynote. During this twilight session you will build your own Keynote presentation, add stunning transitions and learn how to use a range of powerful tools to create something spectacular. You will also get to earn your next Apple Teacher badge.
Creating science projects with iPad
Tuesday 22nd January 2019, 4pm–5:15pm
Numbers is a powerful spreadsheet that gives you and your students a free-form canvas to collect, analyse and present data in creative ways. This twilight session will walk you through the powerful tools and features used to create a compelling science project report. As well as learning the essential skills, you will earn that next Apple Teacher badge.
Making Movies with iPad
Tuesday 26th February 2019, 4pm–5:15pm
Moviemaking is easy on iPad with iMovie, allowing you and your students to produce imaginative and inspiring films shot entirely on iPad. This twilight session will show you the powerful tools and features in iMovie as you put together your own video project, as well as covering the essential basics. You’ll then be able to earn that next Apple Teacher badge.
Making Soundscapes with iPad
Tuesday 19th March 2019, 4pm–5:15pm
GarageBand is a mobile recording studio, allowing you and your students to compose learning stories that engage listeners. During this twilight session you will explorer the powerful tools and features in GarageBand to create a soundscape project, combining spoken poetry and live loops for dramatic effect. You will also earn your next Apple Teacher badge.
Getting stuff done with iPad
Tuesday 23rd April 2019, 4pm–5:15pm
Maximise learning time and help students focus on meaningful tasks with iPad. Learn how iPad can help students get organised; plan and share their work; and document and reflect on learning. In this twilight session, discover how to bring together multiple apps and features into a effective workflow, as well as earning your next Apple Teacher badge.
Getting creative with iPad
Tuesday 4th June 2019, 4pm–5:15pm
Every student is a creator. Explore how iPad can support learners with the three phases of the creative process – brainstorming, gathering inspirational resources and telling compelling stories. This twilight session will equip you to deliver powerful learning experiences with iPads in the classroom as well as help you earn your final Apple Teacher badge.
