Year 4 classes took part in a road safety workshop where they learnt how to keep safe when crossing the roads and wearing a seatbelt while travelling in a car. The children wore costumes and props to role play a range of road and car safety scenarios. We will now be looking forward to reading the children’s applications to become Heronsgate’s new ‘Junior Travel Ambassadors’ to help improve road safety for all children at Heronsgate.
Early years also took part in active road safety workshops with our local road safety officer. The children had the opportunity to dress up and role play crossing the roads safely. They also learnt about all the dangers we should look out for when walking outside, and the correct way to wear a seatbelt!
