Year 3’s recent topic was ‘Land of the Dinosaurs’. Children learnt about various prehistoric periods right up to the modern day. They used their iPads to research dinosaurs and created their own fact files as well as exploring volcanoes and earthquakes. They even visited the Natural History Museum to learn more.
Take a look at Class 12 who made their own fossils in science using clay, shells and plaster of paris. A week later they took on the role of a palaeontologist to carefully excavate the fossils using a rage of tools documenting the process on Book Creator.

On 22nd October, Abhinav from Heronsgate had the privilege to talk about Global Goals with the MP of Greenwich and Woolwich, Mr Matthew Pennycook. He gave a presentation at Woolwich Town Hall with Mr Pennycock MP, speaking about the importance of Gender Equality, Cleanliness and most importantly, Education to every child. The MP was quite impressed with the presentation that he has invited Abhinav to the Houses of Parliament to discuss further and create a video blog on the same. What a fantastic opportunity!
