On Friday 8th November 2019, Year 4 had a wonderful autumnal visit to Woodlands Farm, learning how to use a compass and OS map for orienteering. This was followed by teamwork in the woods, racing to make the most waterproof shelter they could.
Thursday 31st October 2019 was USA Day in Year 3 and it was just terrific! The day began in awesome fashion with everyone dressed real neat and with hands on hearts for the Pledge of Allegiance and triumphant recitals of The Star-Spangled Banner. As well as developing their knowledge of individual states, the children created reimaginings of the US flag, raps with music, cheerleading routines and many s’mores. These activities were all excellently presented in Keynote using some impressive, newly acquired skills from the previous days’ Apple Educator sessions. God bless America.
Recently some of our gifted artists worked with one of the top art galleries in London – the Courtauld Institute of Art. We felt proud and privileged to work with such a prestigious organisation.
The Courtauld Institute have now published our pupils’ work in a gallery on their website. Please do have a look!
